The 'bridges' that divide

Having travelled extensively, it struck me
that we may be one of the countries
with the most overhead bridges relative to size and population.
I see these bridges as a metaphor for the divide
I see these bridges as a metaphor for the divide
between the rich and the poor, the sick and the healthy,
the young and the old, "old" citizens and "new" citizens.
